Like other major insurance providers, AAMI offers a range of different policy options.

From comprehensive insurance covering everything you can think of, to compulsory third party for NSW or ACT residents, you will find exactly what you are looking for.

Compulsory Third-Party Insurance (CTP)

CTP insurance is required by law for every vehicle in Australia. In most states, it is included in the vehicle registration fees. However, NSW and ACT residents must purchase CTP separately.

AAMI’s CTP policy gives an at-fault driver legal protection in the event of compensation claims from people injured in an accident.

Third-Party Insurance

Third-party insurance with AAMI will get you $20 million in protection if you damage someone else’s vehicle or property when driving.

You will also receive $5000 cover if your vehicle is damaged by an uninsured driver.

Optional extras can also be added to this policy, and include protection against fire damage and car theft. If chosen these could be:

  • You will be covered for repairs up to $10000 if your car is damaged by fire.
  • In the case of theft, you will receive a hire car for up to 21 days, up to $500 for personal items that have been stolen, a payout if your car isn’t recovered, and replacement keys if it is.

Comprehensive Insurance

AAMI’s comprehensive insurance covers everything their third-party insurance does but also covers damage to your car – even if you are at fault.

Among other benefits, you will also receive up to $500 towards emergency travel expenses if you are unable to drive your car after an accident.

Getting Your Windscreen Replaced With AAMI
