Mobile Windscreen Replacement Specialists

Metro Auto Glass perform all windscreen repairs and replacements onsite at your vehicle’s location.

Not sure if you need a repair or replacement? If your vehicle’s damage falls into at least one of the below categories, you may require a windscreen replacement:

  • A chip on your windshield that is larger than an Australian $1 coin. In other words, larger than 20 mm.
  • A noticeable windscreen crack that is larger than 30 mm in length.
  • Two or more stone chips or cracks are located within the driver’s line of vision; whether partially or wholly.

The good news is, if you have a chip or crack that is smaller than an Australian $1 coin, you may be able to avoid the cost of a full replacement by choosing a windscreen chip repair.

Our Windscreen Replacement Process

Step 1

Remove Damaged Windscreen

Firstly, we remove all decorative trims and mouldings, then our windscreen technicians carefully clean, vacuum and safely remove all broken glass.

Step 2

Clean & Prepare All Surfaces

Preparing new windscreen glass before installation

We thoroughly clean and prepare both the car and windshield surface to ensure that both surfaces bond according to OEM standards.

Step 3

Install & Fit New Windscreen

We only use OEM approved SIKA PRO Urethane around the edge of the windshield to seal it for life. Using the latest tools we then set this new glass into the correct position.

Step 4

Reconnect & Calibrate Electronics

Lastly, we re-fit all trims and mouldings and mount your Etag. Electronics such as rain/light sensors and driver-assist systems are reconnected. Finally, we test and clean your new windscreen.

ADAS Calibration & Technology Experts

Many modern vehicles now include driver-friendly technology in the windscreen. This includes rain-sensing wipers and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

When asking for a quote, please make sure you provide the exact make, model and year of your vehicle. This allows us to provide new glass with your vehicle’s technology and functionality.

Also, as part of our windscreen replacement service, we reconnect all these technologies and even re-calibrate your ADAS device. We use industry-leading equipment for these tasks.

Without this re-calibration, your ADAS system may not function properly as it was calibrated to your old glass which has now been replaced.

Front windshields are made from laminated safety glass. This prevents broken glass shards from creating serious injury when smashed.

Rear windscreens, on the other hand, are made from toughened or tempered glass exactly the same as your car’s side-door windows. For this reason, they are more appropriately known as rear car windows.

When you have suffered irreparable damage to your windscreen or your car windows, contact our professional team to resolve the issue.

We arrive at your vehicle’s location anywhere in Sydney, with a fully equipped work van to complete your auto glass service onsite.

With superior service, fast turnaround times, competitive pricing and a lifetime warranty, what are you waiting for?
